The new seven wonders of the world are:-
The Great Wall of China,
Brazil’s Statue of Christ Redeemer,
Peru’s Machu Picchu,
Mexico’s Chichen Itza pyramid,
Jordan’s Petra,
The Colosseum,
The Taj Mahal.
you have to be kidding, the sydney opera house????? how parochial. it wouldnt make the top 1000 “wonders of the world”………. as for the list….looks pretty fair to me. I’d love to go to Petra!!
It was unfair because only people who had the internet were eligible to vote; and what would a lot of geeks know about the outside world, a lot of them are trapped in cyber space playing World of War-craft or Second Life!!!
The Sydney Opera House should have got a gong as a tribute to its designer!
Nah, meinrosebud, I nominate Second Life as a Wonder of the World.
In terms of engineering, you can’t beat the Three Gorges Dam. Having said that, I wish it didn’t exist.
